Line Cook/Prep Cook

Job Overview

Local family owned pizzeria looking for a full time or part time line cook. Needs experience in a fast pace setting.

• Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to standardized recipes and menu specifications
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, ovens, fryers, and food processors
• Follow food safety protocols and handle ingredients with care to prevent contamination
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen tools throughout shifts
• Assist with meal preparation for service times, ensuring timely delivery of quality food
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate orders and ensure smooth operations
• Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients needed for upcoming dishes or special events

Experience

• Previous experience in a food service environment, such as restaurant or catering settings, is preferred
• Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus
• Familiarity with food industry safety standards, including food handling and sanitation procedures
• Skills in culinary techniques such as slicing, knife skills, and recipe adherence are highly valued
• Experience operating commercial kitchen equipment and managing food safety in production environments
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members in a fast-paced setting
• Prior experience with meal prep, food safety management, and catering enhances your fit for this role
