This role is for someone who is genuinely passionate about cooking Filipino food or is excited to learn it with care, curiosity, and respect. • Cook and plate menu items accurately, consistently, and on time during lunch, dinner, private events, and special functions.
  • Follow established Filipino recipes, portion standards, plating direction, and kitchen procedures.
  • Learn and execute Filipino cooking methods, flavours, ingredients, and menu items with care and attention to detail.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and well-stocked work station throughout each shift.
  • Monitor food quality, temperature, freshness, seasoning, and presentation before dishes leave the kitchen.
  • Communicate clearly with the kitchen and service teams during preparation and service.
  • Support preparation for events, tasting menus, celebrations, and large-format shared dining when scheduled.
  • Assist with receiving, rotating, storing, labelling, and handling food safely.
  • Follow all sanitation, workplace safety, allergen-awareness, and food-handling procedures.
  • Complete opening, closing, cleaning, and side-work duties as assigned.
  • Help reduce waste by following portioning, storage, and product-rotation practices.
  • Contribute to a respectful, reliable, and solutions-focused kitchen culture.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience as a line cook, prep cook, cook, or in a comparable fast-paced kitchen is preferred.
  • A genuine passion for Filipino food is essential. Experience preparing Filipino cuisine is a strong asset, but we also welcome cooks who are eager to learn Filipino dishes, ingredients, and cooking traditions with respect.
  • Familiarity with Filipino dishes, flavours, and ingredients such as adobo, sinigang, kare-kare, pancit, sisig, lechon, barbecue, or regional vegetable and soup dishes is an asset.
  • Ability to follow recipes, preparation lists, portion standards, and direction from kitchen leadership.
  • Strong sense of urgency, organization, cleanliness, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently at a station while collaborating closely with a team.
  • Comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment and managing multiple tasks during service.
  • Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a professional attitude.
  • Food Handler Certification is an asset, or willingness to obtain it if required.

What We Value

We value cooks who understand that Filipino food is about more than following a recipe. It carries memories, generosity, family, celebration, and the care that goes into feeding people well.

The right candidate will be:

  • Guest-minded: Understands that every plate contributes to a guest’s experience.
