Line Cook/Prep Cook

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our vibrant Asian restaurant team. This role involves preparing and cooking a variety of dishes with a focus on wok cooking and frying rice, ensuring high-quality food is delivered to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Asian cuisine, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Prepare ingredients and assist in the preparation of Asian dishes, including wok cooking and frying rice.
• Cook food items according to restaurant recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station, including proper storage of ingredients.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
• Assist with prep work such as chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring ingredients.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
• Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results.
• Support the team during busy hours by efficiently managing multiple tasks.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in an Asian cuisine setting.
• Ability to cook using a wok and fry rice proficiently.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
