Line Cook/Prep Cook

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This position is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, providing high-quality meals to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a commitment to maintaining food safety standards in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and storage areas.
• Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management.
• Assist with menu planning and development as needed.

Experience

• Previous experience in food preparation or cooking in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented atmosphere while managing multiple tasks.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and presentation of meals.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Pay: $17.75-$20.00 per hour
