Line Cook/Prep Cook

We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our restaurant team! In this role, you’ll help prepare and cook our fried chicken, seafood, sides, and other menu items while keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly.

The ideal candidate is a team player who can work in a fast-paced environment, follow recipes and food safety procedures, and take pride in preparing quality food for our customers. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook fried chicken, seafood, sides, and other menu items according to our recipes and procedures
• Complete food prep before and during shifts, including portioning, seasoning, cutting, and preparing ingredients
• Operate fryers, grills, ovens, and other kitchen equipment safely
• Follow proper cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked safely and consistently
• Keep kitchen work areas, equipment, and prep stations clean and organized
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures
• Restock ingredients and supplies as needed throughout the shift
• Communicate with other team members to keep orders moving efficiently
• Monitor food and supplies and notify a manager when items are running low
• Help with opening and closing kitchen duties, including cleaning and organizing
• Follow all restaurant policies and procedures

Requirements

• Previous restaurant, kitchen, or food-service experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and food safety procedures
• Comfortable working around fryers, hot surfaces, knives, and other kitchen equipment
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work well with a team
• Maintains a clean and organized work area
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move food supplies as needed

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
