Spicee Bite is a growing fast-casual Indian restaurant in Salem, Oregon. We're passionate about serving delicious, flavorful food, providing exceptional customer service, and creating a positive work environment where employees feel valued and enjoy coming to work.

We're looking for a dependable, hardworking, and motivated Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our kitchen team.

Previous cooking experience is preferred, but not required. We're happy to train the right person who has a great attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to Spicee Bite recipes, quality standards, and portion guidelines.
• Complete daily food preparation, including cutting vegetables, preparing ingredients, marinating proteins, and preparing sauces.
• Work efficiently to ensure customer orders are prepared accurately and on time.
• Maintain consistency in food quality, flavor, presentation, and portion sizes.
• Keep kitchen stations clean, organized, and properly stocked throughout each shift.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.
• Assist with dishwashing, cleaning, and other kitchen duties as needed.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Help with opening and closing kitchen duties.
• Follow instructions from kitchen leadership and management.

Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus, but we're more interested in finding the right person with the right attitude.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive kitchen tasks, including chopping, stirring, and food preparation.
