Duties

• Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Assist with meal preparation, food handling, and plating to deliver visually appealing dishes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety protocols.
• Support kitchen staff during busy service periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks.
• Help with inventory management by rotating stock, checking expiration dates, and notifying supervisors of supply needs.
• Follow proper knife skills techniques for chopping, slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients accurately.

Skills

• Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable.
• Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within restaurant or food service settings.
• Excellent knife skills coupled with knowledge of meal preparation techniques.
• Deep understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail.
