Line Cook/Prep Cook

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. This role is essential in ensuring that our restaurant operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality meals to our guests.

Duties

• Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as needed.
• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and storage areas.
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation are met.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Help manage inventory by monitoring supplies and notifying management when stock is low.
• Participate in training sessions to improve cooking skills and knowledge of food service practices.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food handling procedures is essential.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry is a plus.
• A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in the kitchen environment.
