Line Cook/Prep (Japanese Restaurant)

Overview
Here at WAKABA (Izakaya & Sushi), we are looking for a part time Line Cook to join our team for DINNER SERVICE.

The shifts will be :

• Sunday to Thursday Dinner : 5:00pm to close (around 9:45pm)
• Friday and Saturday Dinner : 5:00pm to close (around 10:15pm)

This position is a tipped position.

What you’ll do

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
• Execute food preparation tasks efficiently, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
• Etc.

Qualifications

• Experience in Japanese Cuisine is a must. (minimum 2 years)
• Experience as a Line Cook is a must. (minimum 2 years)
• Mid to advance level of knife skills, deep frying and pan frying, sautéing, grilling, etc.
• Previous restaurant experience that highlights your ability to work under pressure.
