Linehaul/Shuttle Driver (CDL A)

Role Overview This position involves safely and efficiently transporting products from the warehouse to customer locations using a tractor-trailer, ensuring timely delivery, proper loading/unloading, and adherence to safety and food security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport goods while maintaining safety and meeting delivery schedules.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately, including logs, inspections, and invoices.
• Follow food safety protocols, such as maintaining proper temperatures.
• Operate equipment safely, including pallets, load bars, and protective gear.
• Develop strong customer relationships through courteous service and clear communication.
• Report route deviations or issues to management and assist with other duties as needed.

Qualifications And Skills

• High school diploma/GED or completion of tractor-trailer driving school; preferred experience of at least 1 year.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License and insurability.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, safety practices, and hazard guidelines.
• Skills in long-distance driving, problem-solving, and effective communication.
• Ability to perform basic math, plan work independently, and operate various equipment.

Physical And Environmental Demands

• Regularly sit, communicate, and hear; occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Climb in/out of tractor and trailer; work in diverse weather and conditions, including confined spaces and noisy environments.
• Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and varying temperatures.
