Lineman/Driver

Job Overview

The Driver Lineman is responsible for providing reliable transportation for the technical field crew while actively participating in outside plant (OSP) telecommunications activities. This dual role requires safely operating company utility vehicles and executing line installation, network maintenance, and cable laying. [1]Key Responsibilities

• Field Driving & Transport: Safely drive and navigate utility vehicles to transport the splicing and line team, tools, and heavy equipment to various site locations around Calauan and neighboring areas.
• Cable Installation: Assist in laying, pulling, and installing fiber optic, coaxial, or copper cables across aerial paths or underground conduits.
• Line Maintenance: Participate in basic line maintenance, network restoration, and general outside plant (OSP) troubleshooting operations.
• Team Assistance: Support the Splicers and Team Leaders during active field installations and structural setups.
• Vehicle Upkeep: Conduct daily safety inspections of the assigned vehicle and report necessary mechanical maintenance.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to road safety guidelines, traffic laws, and industrial telecom safety standards.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: At least a High School Graduate; technical or vocational training in telecoms or electrical fields is an advantage.
• Experience: 1 to 5 years of experience in Telecom/OSP operations, network installation, or field operations.
• Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of fiber optic, coaxial, or copper cable installations.
• Licensing: Must possess a valid Professional Driver's License with appropriate restriction codes for utility and commercial operations.
• Physical Fitness: Physically fit and comfortable working at heights (climbing poles, handling ladders) or under varying weather conditions.

Pay: Php20,000.00 per month
