We’re looking for an experienced Linux & HPC Infrastructure Engineer to help operate and evolve a secure, high‑performance compute environment used for advanced engineering and simulation workloads. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in tightly controlled, security‑focused environments and enjoys working across Linux systems, HPC scheduling, automation, networking, and compliance.
What You’ll Do:
- Administer and optimize HPC workload scheduling for compute‑intensive jobs;
- Manage and tune Linux‑based storage systems, including lifecycle and isolation controls;
- Oversee backup and disaster‑recovery processes, including restore and failover testing;
- Maintain strong access‑control and network‑segmentation boundaries across isolated environments;
- Design and operate segmented network architectures (including routing separation and VRFs);
- Manage Linux IAM, group policies, sudo rules, and MFA/SSO integrations;
- Support engineering toolchains and project environments throughout their lifecycle;
- Implement system hardening, monitoring, logging, and vulnerability remediation;
- Automate builds, provisioning, and configuration using modern IaC tools;
- Lead incident analysis, change management, and documentation improvements.
What You Bring:
- RHCE certification or equivalent hands‑on expertise with enterprise Linux;
- Experience with at least one HPC scheduler in production environments;
- Strong background in Linux storage, filesystem management, and NFS troubleshooting;
- Solid understanding of identity management and privileged‑access controls;
- Experience operating secure, segregated, or high‑compliance environments;
- Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Ansible, Bash, Python);
- Knowledge of network segmentation, VRFs, and isolated/air‑gapped network operations;
Nice to Have:
- Experience supporting engineering, scientific, or simulation workloads
- Exposure to license‑managed toolchains or multi‑tenant environments
- Background in external audits or regulated environments
