Linux Cloud DevOps Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Linux Cloud DevOps Engineer to design, develop, automate, and operate secure and reliable Linux services in Microsoft Azure. The role requires strong engineering depth across Red Hat Enterprise Linux , Ansible, Terraform, and Git/GitHub CI/CD . The successful candidate must be able to create Infrastructure as Code solutions from the ground up, integrate the tool chain in enterprise environments, and guide internal employees through coaching, knowledge transfer, and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design and build enterprise Infrastructure as Code and configuration automation solutions from inception through production.
• Develop reusable, secure, tested, and maintainable Ansible content for configuration, deployment, patching, compliance, and operational use cases.
• Provision and manage Azure infrastructure through modular Terraform code with controlled state, validation, approvals, and lifecycle management.
• Engineer, administer, and troubleshoot RHEL services across compute, storage, networking, identity, access, security, and performance.
• Build and improve Git/GitHub-based CI/CD workflows, including automated quality checks, testing, release governance, and rollback controls.
• Integrate Linux, Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD capabilities into reliable enterprise automation patterns.
• Lead technical problem solving, root-cause analysis, service improvement, and automation of repetitive operational work.
• Coach internal employees through pairing, design reviews, documentation, demonstrations, and structured knowledge transfer.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, security, suppliers, and customer stakeholders to deliver changes and resolve complex issues.
• Participate in Agile, DevOps, SRE, ITSM, and standby/on-call practices where required.

Qualifications

• Senior profile: 7+ years of relevant professional experience. Medior profiles may be considered where engineering depth and independent delivery capability are clearly demonstrated.
• Proven enterprise experience designing and developing Infrastructure as Code solutions from scratch.
• Demonstrable hands-on capability across all mandatory areas: Ansible development, RHEL, Terraform development, Git/GitHub CI/CD, integrated delivery, and coaching.
• Practical experience operating Linux services in Azure; Azure Associate certification or equivalent applied knowledge is preferred.
• Ability to independently translate requirements into architecture, code, testing, deployment, documentation, and operational support.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and root-cause-analysis skills.
• Security-minded approach to infrastructure, automation, access, secrets, code, and operational change.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and work effectively in a global, collaborative environment.

• Hands-on administration or development experience with Ansible Automation Platform.

• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Red Hat IdM/IPA, OpenShift, Kubernetes, or other container platforms.
• Understanding of Agile, Scrum, ITIL, DevOps, and SRE practices.
