Linux Delivery Team Lead

Our international IT Hub in Sofia, Bulgaria, is growing, and we are looking for a Linux Delivery Team Lead . You’ll be part of an international team, working in a vibrant environment that encourages the exchange of knowledge and ideas both onsite and offsite.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage and develop the Linux Delivery Team, including objective setting, performance management, coaching, skills development and succession planning.
• Act as the primary operational escalation point for the Linux Delivery Team, coordinating the response to service risks and priority issues, and escalating to the Service Delivery Manager and other stakeholders when required.
• Define, monitor, and report service KPIs and operational controls for the Linux Delivery Team, identify performance trends and risks, and lead corrective and continual-improvement actions.
• Plan and maintain the team’s shift roster, on-call coverage, leave and resource allocation to ensure adequate skills and staffing across all operating hours, including planned handovers and contingency coverage for absences.
• Establish and oversee effective shift handovers, ensuring that active incidents, planned work, operational risks and pending actions are clearly documented and transferred between shifts.
• Ensure that the team follows agreed incident, request, change, problem and knowledge-management processes, and that operational procedures, work instructions and escalation paths remain accurate and accessible across all shifts.
• Report to the Service Delivery Manager, providing regular updates on service performance, operational risks, staffing, escalations and improvement actions.

Your Requirements:

• Degree in computer science or comparable in-depth IT training.
• Very good knowledge of Linux operating systems as well as basic knowledge of various IT systems
• Analytical approach, understanding of business processes and procedures, and a team-oriented and structured way of working
• Good understanding of large data center structures (including servers, networks, virtualization) and the development of complex applications. Knowledge of cloud services is an advantage.
• Experience in leading virtual and intercultural teams.
• Good communication skills in English (spoken and written), natural curiosity, motivation and openness to new ideas.
