Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Linux Engineer with strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, network security, firewall technologies, and modern Linux networking tools. The candidate should have experience with NixOS, Cilium, Suricata, nftables, and iptables, along with knowledge of Routing & Switching and enterprise firewall technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based infrastructure.

• Work with Linux distributions and operating systems, including NixOS and RHEL.

• Support GUIX and immutable operating-system environments.

• Configure and manage Linux network security components, including nftables and iptables.

• Implement and troubleshoot firewall and network security configurations.

• Support Routing & Switching at Layer 2.

• Work with enterprise firewall platforms, including Cisco, FortiGate, Check Point, and Palo Alto.

• Configure and support network security zoning and stateful firewall policies.

• Work with Cilium for networking and security in supported environments.

• Support Suricata for network threat detection and security monitoring.

• Troubleshoot Linux networking, connectivity, routing, and security issues.

• Automate routine operational tasks and maintain technical documentation.

• Collaborate with network, security, and infrastructure teams on deployment and incident resolution.

Mandatory Skills

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.

• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.

• Experience with NixOS.

• Knowledge of Cilium, Suricata, and nftables.

• Experience with iptables/IP table.

• Experience with Routing & Switching at Layer 2.

• Experience with enterprise firewalls, such as Cisco, FortiGate, Check Point, or Palo Alto.

• Knowledge of Linux OS, RHEL, GUIX, and immutable operating systems.

• Understanding of network security, zoning, and stateful firewall technologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Zeek.

• Linux network security and traffic filtering.

• Firewall policy implementation and troubleshooting.

• Network monitoring and security analysis.

Ideal Candidate
