We are seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator with 5 7 years of hands-on experience in managing enterprise-grade Linux environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Ubuntu, and associated tools such as Veritas Cluster Services (VCS), Veritas Volume Manager (VxVM), Ansible, and Red Hat Satellite. This role requires a proactive professional who can work in a hybrid model from our Bangalore office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems (RHEL 9.x/8.x, Ubuntu 18.x/20.x).

• Manage Red Hat Satellite for patching, provisioning, and system updates.

• Implement and support high availability solutions using Veritas Cluster Services (VCS).

• Perform volume management and storage configuration using Veritas Volume Manager (VxVM).

• Automate routine administrative tasks using Ansible and shell scripting.

• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across Linux environments.

• Maintain documentation related to system configuration, processes, and service records.

• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support business needs.

• Apply security best practices and ensure systems comply with internal and external standards.

Required Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of Linux OS administration (RHEL, Ubuntu).

• Experience with Red Hat Satellite, Veritas Cluster Services, and VxVM.

• Strong understanding of automation tools, particularly Ansible.

• Familiarity with hybrid working environments and enterprise IT operations.

• Solid troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or equivalent certifications.

• Experience working in regulated industries or enterprises with large-scale Linux deployments.

• Exposure to other configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef) is a plus.
