Linux Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Resolve customer issues via telephone, email, or remote sessions, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
• Reproduce customer issues in-house and provide timely responses and updates.
• Perform regular follow-ups with customers, providing recommendations, updates, and action plans.
• Identify and escalate complex issues to vendors according to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Leverage internal knowledge and resources to provide effective solutions to customer problems.
• Collaborate with CoE/HW teams to diagnose and isolate causes of complex technical issues.
• Maintain high-quality case documentation and adhere to SLA timeframes and operational metrics.
• Lead technical escalations and manage complex or cross-technology incidents independently.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an enterprise technical support environment.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA or RHCE are advantageous.
• Strong knowledge in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting all flavors of Linux.
• Experience with networking issues, cluster services, and SAN technologies.
• Proficient in disaster recovery planning and conducting DR tests.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to high-quality support.
