Linux Systems Engineer | Bare Metal & Kubernetes | Shanghai (English speakers welcome!)

Have you built and operated Kubernetes on physical infrastructure, with the Linux knowledge to troubleshoot what happens underneath?

I’m supporting a leading global proprietary trading firm with an expansion hire within its APAC Linux engineering team , spanning Shanghai and Sydney .

This is an opportunity to build and improve the infrastructure powering a performance-sensitive trading environment, with ownership across Linux servers, on-prem Kubernetes, networking, automation and reliability.

The three key requirements:

1. Strong production Linux fundamentals across servers, storage, networking, performance and troubleshooting.
2. Hands-on bare-metal experience , including physical server provisioning and lifecycle management.
3. Experience building and operating on-prem Kubernetes clusters . Managed cloud Kubernetes experience alone will not be sufficient.

Tech stack includes: Rancher, Cilium/CNI, ArgoCD, Terraform and GitHub Actions, with scope across both containerised and non-containerised systems.
