Liquor Store Assistant Manager

Overview

West Side Liquors is hiring a dependable, hardworking Assistant Manager to assist with daily operations. This hands-on role includes cashiering, stocking, cleaning, customer service, helping with product orders, and providing shift coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate the register, handle payments accurately, and provide friendly customer service.
• Stock shelves and coolers, rotate products, and receive and put away deliveries.
• Keep the store clean and organized, including sweeping, mopping, and taking out trash.
• Open and close the store, count cash drawers, and follow security procedures.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with orders under management’s direction.
• Help train employees, keep daily tasks on track, and communicate concerns to management.
• Pick up open shifts and cover employee call-offs, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Check customer identification and follow store policies for alcohol sales.

Experience and Qualifications

• Previous management experience required; retail or liquor store management experience preferred.
• Professional references from previous employers who can verify management experience and work performance REQUIRED.
• Experience with cashiering, stocking, and cash handling.
• Dependable attendance and flexibility to cover shifts, sometimes on short notice.
• Honest, organized, and able to stay productive without constant supervision.
• Able to stand for extended periods and regularly lift and move cases of merchandise.
• Clear communication skills and a professional attitude toward customers and coworkers.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
