About EPA

Educational Pathways Academy is a Christian school serving students in grades 1–12 with language-based learning differences, including dyslexia. Our mission is to provide an innovative, evidence-based program that strengthens students’ academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth.

At EPA, we believe Every Child is a Masterpiece. Every Day.

With campuses in Naples and Estero, Florida, we offer a supportive, small-group learning environment where students build skills, discover their strengths, and grow in confidence. We seek educators who share our commitment to helping every student thrive.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Literacy Lab Instructor to help students become more fluent, confident readers. The instructor’s primary responsibilities are guiding students through Read Naturally Live (Read Live) to develop reading fluency and comprehension and supporting targeted reading remediation through Lexia programs.

This is a professional educator role that requires active instruction, thoughtful monitoring, and meaningful relationships with students. Established programs and instructional resources provide the framework for daily learning, allowing the instructor to focus on student support and progress without intensive lesson planning or extensive grading.

The ideal candidate brings experience in education, an understanding of Structured Literacy, and/or a strong desire to learn about fluency, reading development, and all components of literacy. Training and ongoing support will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide students through Read Live, providing feedback and support to strengthen reading accuracy, fluency, and comprehension.
  • Support students using Lexia programs and provide targeted instruction and practice based on their needs.
  • Monitor program data and student performance to identify areas requiring additional support.
  • Maintain accurate progress records and communicate growth and concerns to teachers and school leadership.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and literacy specialists to reinforce skills and coordinate student support.
  • Establish a structured, encouraging learning environment with clear routines and positive reinforcement.
  • Help students develop confidence, independence, and persistence as readers.
  • Participate in professional development and apply EPA’s instructional practices.
  • Supervise students and fulfill additional responsibilities that support the school’s mission.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience in education, teaching, or instructional support preferred.
  • Teaching certificate preferred.
  • Understanding of Structured Literacy and/or a strong commitment to learning evidence-based literacy practices.
  • Experience working with students with dyslexia or other learning differences preferred.
  • Familiarity with Read Live or Lexia is helpful; prior experience with these programs is not required.
  • Strong communication, organization, and technology skills.
  • Patience, professionalism, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Commitment to EPA’s Christian mission and a belief in every student’s potential.

Why EPA?

  • Meaningful work: Help students build essential reading skills and experience success.
  • Focused instruction: Work in a school dedicated to students with language-based learning differences.
  • Established resources: Use research-based programs with manageable planning and grading demands.
  • Professional support: Receive training, instructional coaching, and opportunities to grow.
  • Collaborative community: Join educators who value relationships, shared purpose, and student progress.
  • Student-centered environment: Focus on instruction and growth without managing IEP paperwork.

At EPA, we believe each child is uniquely created by God with gifts and purpose. We intentionally address learning challenges while helping students recognize that those challenges do not define their potential.

If you are ready to help students grow as readers and discover what they can accomplish, we invite you to apply. Employment Application:

Pay: $48,000.00 - $54,000.00 per year
