Litigation Assistant/Paralegal

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support to our legal staff and contribute to the efficient operation of the law firm.

Responsibilities

• Conduct document review and organization to support legal proceedings
• Provide administrative assistance including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and handling correspondence
• Assist in preparing legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, and appeals
• Offer executive administrative support to attorneys by drafting communications and maintaining files
• Familiarity with various legal areas such as litigation, personal injury, employment and civil rights, and estate planning
• Answer phones professionally and direct calls to appropriate personnel while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette

Experience

• Proven experience in legal administrative roles is preferred
• Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
• Proficiency in using legal software and databases
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively
