Litigation Associate Attorney

Our client is a highly respected, full-service Pacific Northwest law firm with a long-standing reputation for excellence. They are seeking a talented Litigation Associate to join their collaborative, team-oriented practice in Seattle to work on sophisticated, high-impact commercial matters.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 4+ years of civil litigation experience who is looking to work on sophisticated and high-impact matters in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. The successful candidate will support a diverse litigation practice focused on complex commercial litigation, product liability, environmental, and insurance coverage matters. Working closely with experienced attorneys, you will manage significant litigation responsibilities while building strong client relationships and developing your practice within a respected law firm.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in complex commercial litigation, product liability, environmental, and insurance coverage matters.
• Draft, analyze, and interpret contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, correspondence, and other litigation documents.
• Manage all phases of discovery, including electronically stored information (ESI), document production, and document review.
• Assist with trial preparation and provide courtroom support during trials.
• Conduct legal due diligence related to contracts, agreements, mergers, and acquisitions.
• Take and defend depositions and participate in motion practice and court hearings.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and legal professionals.
• Independently manage assigned matters while collaborating with attorneys and support staff to achieve client objectives.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the State of Washington.
• Minimum of 4 years of civil litigation experience.

Required Skills

• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience handling complex discovery, including electronic document management.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Skills

• Trial preparation and deposition experience preferred.
