The firm has a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment and provides associates with substantial hands-on experience, direct exposure to clients, and opportunities for professional growth. It is seeking a talented litigation associate to join its growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Case Management: Manage day-to-day responsibilities across complex civil litigation matters.
• Legal Writing: Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation documents.
• Research & Strategy: Conduct legal research and assist with case strategy and preparation.
• Depositions & Hearings: Take and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, and conferences.
• Discovery: Manage written discovery, document review, and witness preparation.
• Client Contact: Communicate with clients and provide updates on case developments.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with partners and attorneys on case strategy, negotiations, and resolution.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience: 2–4 years of litigation experience at a reputable law firm.
• Litigation Skills: Strong experience with legal research, writing, discovery, and motion practice.
• Depositions: Prior deposition experience preferred.
• Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and client-facing communication skills.
• Judgment: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and sound legal judgment.
• Independence: Ability to manage matters and deadlines with increasing autonomy.
• Bar Admission: Active California Bar membership in good standing.
• Teamwork: Collaborative, professional, and able to work effectively in a boutique environment.
