Litigation Associate

Our client, a highly regarded international law firm, is seeking two litigation associates to join its growing property damage and construction defect practice in New York . The firm is seeking both a Senior Associate and a Junior Associate .

The group handles an expanding caseload focused on property damage and construction defect matters. These roles offer meaningful responsibility, direct mentorship and excellent opportunities for professional growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage property damage and construction defect matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions and other legal documents.
• Manage discovery and prepare for depositions.
• Work with experts throughout the litigation process.
• Assist with the preparation of dispositive motions.
• Develop case strategy in collaboration with senior attorneys and partners.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case developments.
• Manage deadlines and significant portions of assigned matters.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to and good standing with the New York State Bar.
• Senior Associate candidates should have at least two recent years of property damage or construction defect experience.
• Junior Associate candidates may have a general civil litigation background, including breach of contract or products liability experience.
• Strong legal writing, analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
