Litigation Associate

We are looking for an associate attorney with 5+ years of experience in litigation practice. We are a defense firm, representing franchisors, distributors, manufacturers and employers throughout California. We handle FEHA, wage and hour, workers comp, regulatory compliance, and distribution matters. You must have excellent oral, writing, research, and analytical skills. You must be a team player, self-motivated, goal-oriented, personable, and presentable. In your cover letter please articulate your short- and long-term objectives. Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in court or before government agencies
• Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients
• Advise clients on business and legal transactions
• Negotiate settlements for legal disputes
• Comply with all legal standards and regulations
• Draft opinion letters and briefs
• Conduct legal research
• Summarize documents and deposition transcripts
• Assist with trial preparation

​​Qualifications:

• Needs to be licensed in the state of California
• Have extensive experience with WestLaw and Lexus Nexus platforms
• Experience in labor and employment laws is a plus
• Experience and/or knowledge of LexisNexis CaseMap is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
