Litigation Associate

Bailey Cavalieri is seeking a Litigation Associate with at least two years of experience to join its Business Litigation Practice. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated commercial disputes in a supportive, collegial environment that values excellent advocacy, sound judgment, teamwork, and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and manage commercial litigation matters from initial assessment through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research, manage discovery, prepare witnesses, and participate in depositions, hearings, trials, and arbitrations as experience permits.
• Analyze legal and factual issues and provide practical, business-minded recommendations.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, clients, experts, and co-counsel while managing deadlines and competing priorities.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in complex commercial litigation.
• Experience with business and contract disputes, fiduciary-duty claims, business torts, real estate litigation, trade secrets, restrictive covenants, intellectual property, shareholder or derivative litigation, class actions, or similar matters.
• Active license to practice law in Ohio and good standing with the Supreme Court of Ohio.
• Strong legal research, analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to produce high-quality work, manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, and contribute effectively in a collaborative environment.

Compensation will be based on relevant experience, education, training, and skills. Associates are eligible to participate in the firm’s performance and hours-based annual bonus program.
