is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join our established and growing law firm in Bowie, Maryland. We are looking for a confident advocate with Maryland Circuit Court litigation and trial experience who is capable of independently managing a diverse litigation caseload from inception through trial.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys courtroom advocacy, direct client contact, strategic case management, and working as part of a collaborative team of experienced attorneys.

 

Responsibilities

• Handle litigation matters from initial case evaluation through trial and post-trial proceedings.
• Appear regularly in Maryland Circuit Courts for motions hearings, scheduling conferences, settlement conferences, and trials.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Draft and argue dispositive and evidentiary motions.
• Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive pleadings, memoranda, and appellate-quality briefs.
• Manage discovery, expert witnesses, mediation, and settlement negotiations.
• Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and strategic guidance.

 

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of civil litigation experience.
• Demonstrated Maryland Circuit Court trial experience is required. Candidates should have first-chair or significant second-chair trial experience.
• Excellent courtroom advocacy and oral argument skills.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and research abilities.
• Ability to independently manage a busy litigation docket.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and client communication skills.
• Admission to the Maryland Bar is required. Admission in the District of Columbia is a plus.
