Lester Schwab Katz & Dwyer, LLP is seeking a Litigation Attorney to litigate various types of cases including premises liability, general liability, trucking and automobile matters, Labor Law/Construction Defect, and property damage.

This is an excellent opportunity for New York and New Jersey admitted attorneys looking to work in a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

We are looking to add an eager attorney to our growing practice groups, willing to take on meaningful responsibility, while continuing to develop their expertise, and build a long-term career with the firm. Salary of $25,000 to $170,000, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle general liability, premises liability and other tort matters from inception through resolution.
• Analyze liability and damages issues and provide strategic legal advice to clients.
• Appear for court appearances, depositions, and mediations
• Conduct legal research and prepare motions, briefs, and other litigation-related filings.
• Manage an active caseload while developing trusted relationships with clients.

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice law in New York (required).
• Admission in New Jersey is a plus.
• 2+ years of insurance defense litigation experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple matters while working independently and collaboratively.
