Litigation attorney

Busy General Practice Firm in Essex County/ Newark is actively seeking an experienced Civil Litigation/Personal Injury Attorney to join our growing law practice.

Job Type: Full-time.

Work Location: In person

Experience: legal practice: at least 3-5 years (Required)

License/Certification: NJ Bar (NJ Required; NY Bar is a plus)

Skills and Qualifications:

• Admission to the New Jersey Bar in good standing with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Civil Litigation/Personal Injury
• Ability to handle a high caseload
• Detail-oriented, organized, and quick
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred; Portuguese is a plus
• Experience with Landlord/Tenant, Personal Injury, Workmen's Compensation, Family Law (divorce, child support, custody, TRO, etc.), and other areas of law
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent public speaking skills
• Ability to work cases either independently or as part of a team, to develop case strategies MUST have a driver's license and be computer literate.

Attorneys' Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide Civil Litigation Representation
• Conduct interviews, depositions, and trials
• Drafting and submitting motions, complaints, answers, forms, and briefs in addition to other court/client correspondence
• Conducting complex legal research and case-specific analysis

Salary: Six-figure salary

Pay: Starting at $130,000.00 per year, depending on experience.
