Litigation Attorney

Reporting to the Corporate General Counsel will align with the Advanced Diagnostics mission, strategic goals, and regulatory requirements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of complex commercial litigation matters from inception through trial
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions and other legal documents
• Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions and mediation with witness responsibility
• Review, analyze and summarize medical records, discovery document production, and other pertinent litigation related materials
• Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients
• Performs related responsibilities as required.
• Adheres to Confidentiality Policy.
• Maintains positive working relationships and fosters cooperative work environment. Adheres to Advanced Diagnostics compliance program .
• Displays honesty and mutual respect when communicating with peers and other departments.
• Following through on problems that may compromise effective job performance by using appropriate chain of command.
• Adheres to safety practices and meets requirements of National Patient Safety Goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certifications)

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from accredited law school
• Admission to the State Bar of Texas and in good standing
• Previous experience in a law environment
• Ability to take and defend depositions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

KNOWLEDGE, Skills And Abilities

Basic computer knowledge with ability to use Information Systems and Microsoft Office/basic computer applications.

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment is required.

Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and speaking English, as well as demonstrate interpersonal skills with all levels of the healthcare team, patient families, and guests
