Litigation Drafting Attorney

Job Summary

At Skywheel Law APC, a "one-stop shop" boutique firm dedicated to resolving our clients' complex legal issues so they can move on to a worry-free life, we are seeking a talented, meticulous Litigation Drafting Attorney to serve as a cornerstone of our civil litigation practice. In this role, you will work hand-in-hand with our lead trial attorneys to architect case strategies and translate high-level legal theory into winning filings. You will also mentor and direct our law clerks, ensuring our research and discovery stay elite.

Key Responsibilities

Law & Motion

• Draft complex pleadings, demurrers, motions to strike, and heavy dispositive motions (MSJs/oppositions) in strict compliance with the CCP, CRC, and Local Court Rules.

Discovery & Enforcement

• Formulate tailored discovery packages (Interrogatories, RAs, RFPs), manage meet-and-confers, and draft powerful Motions to Compel along with Separate Statements.

Trial Prep

• Partner with trial counsel to analyze evidence, draft comprehensive deposition outlines, and prepare trial briefs, motions in limine, and pre-trial joint statements.

Team Collaboration

• Direct and supervise law clerks in legal research, document production, and discovery management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Licensure: Active member in good standing with the State Bar of California.
• Experience: 3+ years of civil litigation experience with a strong emphasis on advanced legal writing and discovery enforcement.
• Substantive Knowledge: Deep knowledge of the California Civil Discovery Act and local court procedures.
• Mentorship & Collaboration: Excellent mentorship abilities to guide law clerks, combined with sharp collaborative instincts.
