Litigation Lawyer

We are seeking a Litigation Lawyer with at least 2 years of experience to join a civil and commercial litigation practice in Montreal, QC. The ideal candidate will independently manage files from inception through trial, have courtroom experience, and be interested in developing their practice within a flexible, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil and commercial litigation files from start to finish, including trial preparation and representation.
• Represent clients in court proceedings and advocate for their interests.
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal opinions, and other litigation documents.
• Develop litigation strategies and provide practical legal advice to clients.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Manage an independent caseload while collaborating with colleagues.
• Identify opportunities to develop a practice and contribute to the growth of the litigation department.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of litigation experience.
• Experience in civil and/or commercial litigation.
• Demonstrated courtroom and client representation experience.
• Strong legal drafting and communication skills.
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English is preferred.
• Ability to manage files independently from inception through trial.
• Dynamic, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative.
• Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively.
• Interest in practice development and client relationship management.
