What they need
Company Description Bush Seyferth PLLC (BSP Law) is a national law firm of business-minded trial attorneys with a strong record defending Fortune 500 clients in complex, high-profile litigation across the United States. The firm’s lawyers are educated at leading law schools, and many have clerked or interned for high-ranking courts and practiced at top-tier law firms. BSP’s culture emphasizes rigorous advocacy, collaboration, and professional excellence, reflected in its history, including a founding partner appointed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. The firm delivers results typically associated with larger national firms while maintaining the personal attention, agility, and cost efficiency of a smaller practice, offering team members exposure to sophisticated matters and meaningful responsibility.
Role Description The Litigation Paralegal will support trial attorneys in all phases of complex litigation, including case intake, discovery, motion practice, pre-trial preparation, trial support, and post-trial activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting, formatting, and organizing legal documents; conducting factual and legal research; managing case files and document databases; and assisting with pleadings, motions, and discovery responses. The role involves coordinating with attorneys, clients, courts, and third parties; preparing exhibits, summaries, and chronologies; and maintaining accurate case calendars, deadlines, and task lists. This is a full-time position based in the Detroit Metropolitan Area with a hybrid work arrangement, combining in-office collaboration with some work-from-home flexibility.

- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, with capacity to handle multiple matters and deadlines.
- Prior litigation paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department; complex commercial or product liability experience is a plus.
- Paralegal certificate or degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field preferred; bachelor’s degree is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and staff, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment.
- Willingness to support occasional overtime or trial-related schedule demands.
