Litigation Paralegal

Litigation Paralegal needed for small downtown Charleston civil litigation law firm. Preferred candidate to have paralegal certificate and/or should have minimum two years of related paralegal experience with strong personal skills and team player. Great opportunity for right candidate with established Charleston law firm.

Experience needed:

Paralegal certificate preferred. Prefer two or more years of litigation experience.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the drafting and reviewing legal documents
• Transcription
• File motions, notice depositions, draft subpoenas, and other litigation and trial support
• Maintain/monitor dockets and scheduling orders

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paralegal or other legal field
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Windows, Time Matters, TABS and other legal software programs
• Familiarity with State and Federal Courts and e-filing processes
• Familiar with discovery tasks and trial preparation
• Able to handle large document production cases for a busy team
