Litigation Paralegal

Litigation Paralegal – Lakeland

This position is on site and full-time, Monday through Friday – 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Essential Job Functions:

• Manage personal injury files from inception to settlement;
• Manage a heavy caseload of pre-suit personal injury cases;
• Constant communication with clients, adjusters, doctors and attorneys;
• Prepare basic legal documents and correspondence;
• Order, analyze, and summarize medical records and bills;
• Prepare demand packages;
• Monitor deadlines;
• Prepare closing statement and obtain supporting documentation.
• Screening phone calls and routing callers to the appropriate party
• Handle office tasks, such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, etc.
• Provide administrative support to Attorneys;
• Other duties as assigned;

Required Knowledge, Skills, Ability:

• Prior clerical experience, within a law firm is preferred
• Law firm experience in personal injury is preferred
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Excellent Organizational Skills
• Ability to work as a team member and independently
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of applications
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Strong ability to multitask
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred, but not required

· Ability to work as a team member and independently

· Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel

• Minimum of two years in a paralegal role

Educational Requirements:

· Certification or associate’s degree in paralegal studies (bachelor’s degree is preferred)

Salary commensurate with experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,180.00 - $60,000.00 per year
