Full Job Description

Growing, vibrant, and busy insurance/public entity defense firm in Fresno, CA looking to hire an experienced paralegal to assist in litigation matters. Legal areas preferred with experience include insurance defense, school defense, employment defense, and public entity defense.

An ideal candidate would have strong organizational habits, communication skills, strong work ethic, be detail oriented, and have litigation experience. Additionally, this individual should work well independently as well as in a group setting.

Responsibilities:

Provide litigation assistance from the inception of litigation to the conclusion, including, but not limited to, subpoenaing records, summarizing records, responding to and summarizing discovery requests, contacting and communicating with clients, and assisting in overall trial preparation. Additionally, the ideal candidate must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them in a timely fashion. Also, paralegals may be required to do calendar coordination and other possible administrative tasks. Further, paralegals are expected to keep track of and record their time into the applicable billing software and to have a strong working knowledge of legal management software and document preparation and storage programs.
