Litigation Paralegal

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to support a senior trial attorney across both pre litigation and litigation matters. The role will manage a diverse caseload, including automobile accidents, significant injury claims, and complex cases that may proceed through discovery, mediation, and trial.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, client focused, and comfortable taking ownership of cases from intake through resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage personal injury cases from opening through resolution

• Handle both pre litigation and active litigation matters

• Collect and organize medical records, bills, insurance information, liens, and supporting evidence

• Monitor client treatment, damages, deadlines, and case progress

• Prepare demand packages, case summaries, correspondence, and legal documents

• Assist with pleadings, discovery, document production, depositions, and mediation

• Support trial preparation, including exhibits, witnesses, experts, and case organization

• Maintain accurate calendars, deadlines, electronic files, and case management records

• Communicate proactively and professionally with clients

• Identify outstanding tasks and move cases forward without constant direction

• Work closely with attorneys and litigation staff on complex matters

• Use legal technology and AI tools to improve organization, efficiency, and case preparation

Requirements

• 5+ years of personal injury experience preferred

• Strong experience managing pre litigation personal injury cases

• Meaningful litigation experience with discovery, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation

• Experience supporting a litigation or trial attorney

• Ability to manage multiple active cases simultaneously

• Strong organizational and attention to detail skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Strong client service skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management software

• Comfortable learning and using modern legal technology and AI tools

• Familiarity with Missouri or Kansas personal injury practice is a plus

• Spanish and English bilingual skills are a plus

• Bachelor's degree required
