Litigation Paralegal – Jacksonville, FL

Direct Hire | Hybrid Schedule – 3 Days in Office / 2 Days Remote

Nesco Resource is recruiting an experienced Litigation Paralegal for one of our established law firm clients in Jacksonville, FL. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a hybrid work schedule, with three days in the office and two days working from home.

Our client is seeking a proactive, highly organized Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys across a variety of litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background working in a litigation law firm, excellent organizational and calendaring skills, and the ability to manage a large caseload in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have a working knowledge of federal and state court rules, procedures, and electronic filing systems, along with experience conducting legal research using LexisNexis and/or Westlaw.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft routine court documents, including Notices of Appearance, Pro Hac Vice Motions, Notices of Motion, Subpoenas, Stipulations, and other legal filings.
• Prepare and compile legal documents, discovery responses, affidavits, and supporting materials for attorney review.
• Request, subpoena, and coordinate with record vendors to obtain medical treatment and educational records.
• Prepare exhibits and demonstrative evidence for hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Conduct legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, and public access websites to support litigation defense strategies.
• Organize, analyze, summarize, and index medical records, educational records, and other case-related documents.
• Assist attorneys with witness preparation for depositions and trials.
• Review documents for relevance and privilege in preparation for disclosure.
• Analyze and categorize reports, discovery responses, and other case materials.
• Maintain accurate case files, deadlines, scheduling, and court calendars.
• Capture and record billable time in accordance with firm policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant litigation paralegal experience , preferably within a law firm.
• Strong organizational, communication, scheduling, and follow-up skills.
• Experience managing multiple attorneys, competing deadlines, and document-intensive cases.
• Knowledge of federal and state court procedures and electronic filing systems.
• Proficiency in LexisNexis and/or Westlaw, Microsoft Word, Excel, and KOFAX Professional.
• Experience preparing medical chronologies and billing indexes preferred.
• Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and professionalism.

Schedule & Work Arrangement

• Employment Type: Direct Hire
• Location: Jacksonville, FL
• Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in office / 2 days remote
• Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM, including a one-hour lunch
• Overtime: Flexibility to work additional hours when needed
