Litigation Paralegal

We are a Plaintiff-side law firm specializing in employment law, personal injury, trucking crashes, and other complex litigation. We are currently seeking a highly experienced paralegal to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional looking to contribute to a caring and hardworking team. Everyone on our team makes a difference in the lives of our clients. We would love to have someone fluent in Spanish in this role, but it is not required.

*Responsibilities:*

• Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation cases from pre-litigation through post-trial. This gives the paralegal a chance to really bond with the clients throughout their journey.

• Conduct legal research, fact-checking, and gathering relevant information.

• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.

-Work closely with clients to prepare drafts of discovery responses.

• Maintain case files and manage deadlines.

• Liaise with clients, witnesses, co-counsel and opposing counsel.

• Prepare for trial by organizing exhibits, preparing subpoenas, assisting with witness interviews, and attending court proceedings when necessary.

• Review and summarize medical records and/or manage vendors who provide that service.

-Coordinate with expert witnesses and provide them with the case information they need to provide their opinions.

• Preparation of demands.

• Working with legal assistants and others on the team as a project manager, making sure that records have been requested timely, the file is updated, liens are requested and addressed, and deadlines are met.

*Qualifications:*

• Paralegal certification or equivalent experience.

• Prefer 3-5 years' experience as a paralegal in civil litigation.

• Proficient in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

-Self-starting and problem-solving skills are important.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in team collaboration situations.

• Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

-Ability to delegate tasks and supervise their completion.
