We are conducting a highly selective search for an established Litigation Partner / Shareholder to join the New York office of an elite, litigation-led US law firm.

This is not a conventional lateral partner search. The firm is looking for a recognised disputes lawyer with a sophisticated practice, genuine first-chair credentials and the ability to play a significant role in the continued development of its New York litigation offering.

The Opportunity

The firm has one of the strongest litigation platforms in the US, with disputes representing the substantial majority of its overall practice. It is particularly well positioned for partners handling complex, high-value and business-critical litigation.

The successful partner could have a broad complex commercial litigation practice, with securities, antitrust litigation and other significant civil disputes also highly complementary to the existing platform.

Of Particular Interest Are Lawyers Who

• Have established first-chair trial and litigation credentials
• Are recognised within their market and have led significant, high-stakes disputes
• Have a demonstrably portable practice, ideally in the region of $10m+ in annual originations
• Operate comfortably at premium-market billing rates
• Have a strong track record of developing and retaining institutional client relationships
• Are entrepreneurial and see meaningful scope to expand their practice
• Could potentially bring, recruit or develop a team around them
• Value a collaborative, low-ego culture alongside genuine practice autonomy

Compensation is flexible and will reflect the strength, profitability and portability of the incoming practice, with scope to structure a highly competitive package for an exceptional candidate.
