About the role

1STOPFISHING is seeking an energetic and charismatic Live Host to join our dynamic sales and new business development team on a contract basis. Based in Shah Alam, Selangor, this role is pivotal in driving customer engagement and generating new business opportunities through live streaming and interactive content. As a Live Host, you will be the face of 1STOPFISHING, directly connecting with our audience, showcasing our products, and converting viewers into loyal customers. This position plays a crucial strategic role in expanding our market reach and establishing 1STOPFISHING as a leading presence in the fishing retail sector.

Key responsibilities

• Host engaging and interactive live streaming sessions across multiple digital platforms to showcase fishing products and services
• Build genuine connections with audience members and convert viewers into customers through compelling product demonstrations and storytelling
• Present product features, benefits and value propositions in a clear, enthusiastic and persuasive manner
• Monitor viewer engagement, respond to comments and questions in real-time, and manage audience interactions professionally
• Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to identify new business opportunities and promotional strategies
• Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs established for live streaming sessions
• Gather customer feedback and market insights during live sessions to inform future business development initiatives
• Maintain accurate records of viewer demographics, engagement metrics and sales conversions
• Develop and execute creative content ideas that align with 1STOPFISHING's brand values and business objectives
• Attend training sessions to stay updated on product knowledge, platform features and sales techniques

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a live host, live streamer, or in a similar customer-facing sales role with demonstrated success in engaging audiences and driving conversions
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to think quickly and adapt to audience needs in real-time
• Natural charisma, enthusiasm and confidence in front of a camera or live audience
• Strong knowledge of or genuine interest in the fishing industry, products and customer base
• Proficiency in using live streaming platforms and social media tools (such as Facebook Live, TikTok Live, Instagram Live, YouTube Live)
• Ability to work independently and take initiative whilst collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
• Sales-driven mindset with a track record of achieving or exceeding targets
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple streaming sessions and content calendars
• Basic understanding of digital analytics and the ability to interpret performance metrics
• Fluency in Malay and English; additional languages are advantageous
• Flexible availability including potential evening and weekend shifts to maximise audience reach
