What we do

Open Outfit sells pre-owned branded clothing live on eBay. Our streams are fast, busy auctions — lots of quality pieces, good prices, and buyers who come back every week. We're growing, and we're looking for a host to take ownership of their own shows.

The job

You'll be in charge of your own shows/streams, from prepping the rail to closing the last auction and setting aside ready for shipping. Around 15–18 hours a week live, plus time getting your stock ready beforehand as well as other warehouse duties related to stock prep or assisting our growing team. We'll work together to find the slots that suit you and bring in the most viewers, and if your shows are performing, there's scope for more live time! As well as a bonus structure we will be introducing for hitting different targets

What you'll be doing

• Hosting live auctions: showing each piece, talking brand, fit and condition, keeping the chat moving and the bids coming
• Hanging and prepping your rail so you know exactly what you're selling
• Testing new stock and styles exclusive to the stream, and giving honest feedback on what's working
• Flagging standout moments during your show (a bidding war, a great piece, a funny exchange), so we can learn how to make the streams more engaging for viewers.
• Logging a few simple numbers/notes after each show
• A weekly catch-up with the owners to review your shows and agree what to improve next, so every week is better than the last

You'll be good at this if you

• Are comfortable in front of a camera, or keen to get there. We'll help you build the stamina for longer shows. Live selling experience is a big bonus
• Know your brands, or genuinely want to learn them
• Have sold something before — shop floor, market stall, Vinted, TikTok, anything where you had to get someone to say yes
• Stay upbeat when the chat is quiet. Some shows will be slow and that's part of it
• Can be trusted to honour your schedule. When you're booked on, you show up

Nice to have

• You already watch live selling (eBay Live, Whatnot, TikTok Shop)
• You buy or sell second-hand clothes yourself
• You're comfortable on social media

Honest bit

This is a performance job. Most of your time is live and on your own, keeping energy up for people you can't see. If that sounds fun, you'll love it. If it sounds draining, it's probably not for you.

Pay and hours

• £13/hour, around 20 hours a week, with more available as the shows grow
• Paid holiday, accrued based on hours worked (in line with statutory entitlement)
