Live Moderator Assistant

About the role

VIVASTAR Entertainment is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Live Moderator Assistant to join our dynamic marketing and communications team. This is a full-time position based in Kuchai Lama, Kuala Lumpur. As a Live Moderator Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our live streaming and event operations, ensuring engaging and professional content delivery across our platforms. You will work closely with our moderators and content team to maintain brand integrity, audience engagement, and seamless event execution. This role is essential to our ability to deliver exceptional live entertainment experiences to our growing digital audience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist live moderators during streaming events, managing chat interactions and audience engagement in real time
• Monitor and moderate comments and discussions across live streaming platforms to ensure compliance with community guidelines and brand standards
• Support the coordination and scheduling of live events, including pre-event setup and post-event follow-up
• Respond to viewer inquiries and technical issues during live sessions, escalating concerns as necessary
• Maintain detailed records of live event metrics, audience feedback and engagement data for reporting purposes
• Assist in content preparation and research to support moderators and enhance event quality
• Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to develop engaging promotional content for upcoming events
• Support the development and implementation of audience engagement strategies across social media platforms
• Provide administrative support to the events and content management teams as required

What we're looking for

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage audiences in a professional and personable manner
• Strong written and verbal English proficiency; additional language capabilities are advantageous
• Experience with live streaming platforms and social media tools such as YouTube, Facebook Live, TikTok or similar platforms
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment whilst maintaining attention to detail
• Familiarity with community management, content moderation or customer service is preferred
• Quick problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet during live events
• A passion for entertainment, events or digital content creation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Suite applications
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends when live events are scheduled
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
