About the role

Vivastar Entertainment Sdn Bhd is seeking a dynamic and engaging Live Moderator to join our team in Kuchai Lama, Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our programming and production operations. As a Live Moderator, you will be the face and voice of our live broadcast content, responsible for engaging audiences, maintaining programme flow and creating memorable entertainment experiences. This role is integral to our content delivery strategy and directly impacts viewer satisfaction and audience engagement across our platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with production teams, directors and technical staff to ensure smooth programme execution
• Read teleprompters and promotional materials with clarity and naturalness
• Manage time effectively to maintain programme schedules and segment transitions
• Respond to audience queries and feedback during live shows, creating an interactive and inclusive experience
• Participate in pre-broadcast briefings and production meetings to understand content objectives and audience expectations
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanour throughout all broadcast activities
• Collaborate with fellow moderators, production assistants and creative teams to develop engaging content segments

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a live moderator, radio presenter, television host or similar on-air role in broadcasting or entertainment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak clearly, confidently and engagingly to large audiences
• Natural charisma, personality and the ability to think on your feet in live situations
• Strong ability to handle spontaneous moments and adapt quickly when situations change during live broadcasts
• Understanding of live television or radio production processes and technical requirements
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Professional demeanour with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with production teams
• Familiarity with audience engagement techniques and understanding of viewer/listener demographics
• Flexible attitude towards working irregular hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required by broadcast schedules
• Preferred: experience with digital platforms, social media integration or multi-platform broadcasting
