Job Description

We are looking for a dependable and organized assistant to help with our live sales on Whatnot and with tasks before and after each show. This position is a great fit for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable keeping track of multiple things at once.

During live sales, the assistant will help manage the Whatnot chat, answer customer questions and keep track of products as they sell. A major part of the role is making sure sold items stay organized by buyer so that orders can be packaged accurately after the show.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interact with the chat during Whatnot live sales
• Answer customer questions during live shows
• Run and manage giveaways during live sales
• Keep track of products as they sell
• Organize sold products by buyer throughout the live
• Help package and prepare customer orders for shipment
• Organize cosmetics and other inventory
• Help prepare products and the sales area before live shows
• Keep the sales and packing areas clean and organized
• Assist with other tasks related to preparing for and wrapping up live sales

There may also be opportunities to help with the actual live sales, such as presenting or discussing products on camera. Being on camera or helping host live sales is not required for this position.

Pay & Schedule

This position will start as part-time, with the potential to grow into a full-time position as the business and live sales continue to grow.

Starting pay is $10.00 per hour, paid weekly via direct deposit.

This position will typically require availability three to four days per week. The exact schedule is currently being finalized, but applicants should be available for:

• Tuesdays
• Thursdays
• Saturdays
• One additional weekday, which is still being determined

Hours will generally range sometime between 8AM - 6PM; we may do some late shows after 8 PM, but you will know about those ahead of time.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Dependable and able to consistently arrive on time for scheduled shifts
• Strong attention to detail and ability to keep products and customer orders organized
• Able to stay focused and organized in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable using a smartphone, computer, and basic apps or online platforms
• Comfortable communicating with customers through live chat in a friendly and professional manner
• Able to follow directions and learn new processes
• Able to work independently as well as alongside others
• Comfortable organizing and handling cosmetics and other merchandise
• Able to stand for periods of time while assisting with live sales, organizing inventory, or packing orders
• Able to lift and move boxes or packages as needed

Experience with Whatnot, live selling, cosmetics, e-commerce, shipping, or order fulfillment is a plus but is not required. Training will be provided on our process and how we organize and manage live sales.

We are looking for someone who takes accuracy seriously, especially when sorting and packaging customer purchases, while still being able to have fun and contribute to a positive environment during live sales.

This is an in-person position located in Oneida, Tennessee.

Pay: From $10.00 per hour
