Live Sound Engr/Tech

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and detail-oriented Live Sound Engineer/Technician, currently based in the UAE, to join our team at Crown & Lion & Byblos Hospitality. This role bridges technical audio precision with the energy of live entertainment.

You will be responsible for setting up audio equipment, engineering live sound, balancing acoustics, and maintaining seamless audio production for live bands and stage performances. The ideal candidate has deep experience handling live band mixing and acoustics, and is available for immediate placement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute complete live audio setups, soundchecks, and real-time sound balancing for daily live bands and special performances.
• Operate digital/analog mixing consoles, amplifiers, microphoning, and processing units to ensure pristine acoustics and avoid feedback.
• Collaborate closely with live bands and resident performers to understand their technical riders and acoustic requirements.
• Monitor audio levels throughout live sets to prevent distortion, adhering to venue standards and municipal noise regulations.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and safeguard all venue sound, line, and AV equipment, managing regular maintenance of audio gear.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of proven hands-on experience working directly with live bands in a pub, lounge, nightclub, or hotel environment.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of live mixing, audio acoustics, signal flow, frequency equalization, and stage mic placement.
• Availability: Immediate availability (ready to join this week or next week) and willingness to work late night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Accommodation Acceptance: Willing to reside in company-provided shared accommodation.
• Location & Language: Currently based in the UAE with strong verbal English communication skills.
