About the role

We are seeking a Livestream Assistant (Mandarin Speaker) to join the dynamic marketing and communications team at SHOWTV GROUP SDN BHD. This is a full-time position based in Balakong, Selangor. As a Livestream Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our livestream operations and content delivery initiatives. You will be instrumental in ensuring smooth execution of our livestream events whilst facilitating effective communication with our Mandarin-speaking audience. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in digital marketing, content coordination, and audience engagement within a forward-thinking media company.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing livestream events across various platforms
• Provide real-time Mandarin language support during livestream sessions, including live translation and audience interaction
• Monitor livestream chat and social media channels, responding to audience enquiries in Mandarin
• Coordinate with technical teams to ensure all livestream equipment and software are functioning optimally
• Manage livestream schedules, graphics, overlays, and on-screen content during broadcasts
• Gather and compile audience feedback and engagement metrics following livestream events
• Support the creation of promotional materials and announcements for upcoming livestreams
• Assist in researching and identifying opportunities to enhance livestream content and viewer experience
• Maintain detailed records of livestream activities, timelines, and performance data
• Collaborate with marketing team members to align livestream initiatives with broader campaign objectives

What we're looking for

• Fluent Mandarin Chinese speaker – excellent verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin are essential
• Proficiency in English – good working knowledge of English to communicate with team members and international audiences
• Prior experience with livestreaming platforms such as Facebook Live, YouTube Live, TikTok Live, or similar services
• Familiarity with social media management tools and content management systems
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple livestream events simultaneously
• Quick thinking and problem-solving skills to handle technical issues or unexpected situations during live broadcasts
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to engage authentically with online audiences
• Knowledge of digital marketing principles and audience engagement strategies
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of content quality
• Ability to work flexibly, including potential evenings or weekends depending on livestream scheduling
• Ability to work flexibly, including potential local & international travel
• A diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field is preferred
• Previous experience in customer service, content coordination, or event support roles is advantageous
