Live Auction Host (On-Camera) — Part Time

Location: College Point / Flushing, NY 11356 (on-site)

Job Type: Part-time, Full-Time

Pay: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour

Schedule: Flexible but must be able to work weekends

About the Role

We are a live auction retailer selling collectibles on TikTok Shop and Whatnot. We are seeking an on-camera Live Auction Host to run our scheduled auction streams.

The Host presents products, manages the pace of the auction, and engages directly with viewers in real time. This is a customer-facing, on-camera role in a fast-paced environment.

No prior live streaming experience is required. Paid training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Host scheduled live auction streams on TikTok Shop and Whatnot
• Present and describe products accurately and engagingly on camera
• Respond to viewer comments and questions in real time
• Maintain auction pacing and energy throughout the full stream block
• Follow the established show format and product lineup
• Handle inventory carefully to ensure accurate order fulfillment
• Complete pre-stream setup and post-stream breakdown

Qualifications

Required:

• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Comfortable speaking on camera for extended periods
• Able to stand for the duration of the shift and handle product (up to 50 lbs)
• Reliable transportation to College Point / Flushing, NY 11356
• Excellent verbal communication skills in English
• Able to take direction and apply feedback

Preferred:

• Experience in retail sales, food service, hosting, events, theater, teaching, or other customer-facing or performance roles
• Live streaming or e-commerce experience is a plus but not required

Physical Requirements

This role involves standing and speaking continuously for the length of the shift. Candidates should be comfortable with a physically active, fast-paced work environment with limited downtime.

Compensation & Advancement

Starting rate is $20.00 per hour with advancement to $30.00 per hour based on performance. Advancement is measured on attendance, auction pacing, and sales results.

Paid training and a paid trial shift are provided before permanent placement.
