Part-Time Independent Contractor

Nu Leaf Mental Health Group is seeking a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to serve in a part-time supervisory leadership role as an LMFT Supervisor for AMFTs. This role focuses on clinical supervision, quality oversight, and the continued development of therapy services within a growing outpatient mental health practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced LMFT who enjoys mentorship, clinical leadership, and contributing to the growth of a collaborative, interdisciplinary mental health organization.

Role Overview
The LMFT Supervisor will initially supervise two Associate Marriage and Family Therapists (AMFTs), with the opportunity to oversee additional AMFTs and expand leadership responsibilities as the therapy program grows. This role is structured, predictable, and designed to scale over time.

The Psychological Services Director works closely with practice leadership to support clinical quality, ethical practice, and consistency across therapy services.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Supervision

• Provide clinical supervision to AMFTs in accordance with California BBS requirements
• Conduct weekly supervision sessions focused on case consultation, clinical guidance, and professional development
• Review and co-sign clinical documentation and treatment plans as required
• Support clinical decision-making and best practices in outpatient therapy

Leadership & Consultation

• Participate in weekly consulting and administrative meetings (approximately 1 hour per week)
• Provide input on therapy workflows, clinical standards, and quality assurance
• Support the development and sustainability of therapy services within the practice
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary providers and leadership as needed

Time Commitment

• Approximately 2-6 hours per week total
• Hours are dependent on AMFT caseload in accordance with BBS regulations.
• Additional chart review time as required and included within scope
• Meetings are conducted virtually

Compensation

This is a part-time independent contractor role with a scalable compensation structure.

Compensation includes:

• A fixed monthly leadership and consultation stipend
• A tiered monthly supervision stipend based on the number of AMFTs supervised

Total monthly compensation ranges from $1,000–$2,000 per month, with the opportunity to grow as the therapy program expands.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted LMFT license in the state of California
• Eligible to provide supervision to AMFTs per California BBS regulations
• Minimum 1–3 years post-licensure clinical experience preferred
• Prior supervision or leadership experience strongly preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and professionalism
• Interest in mentorship, leadership, and program development
