We are looking for a skilled Load Tester / Performance Test Engineer with 2-3 years of hands-on experience in performance, load, and stress testing of web applications, APIs, and enterprise systems. The candidate should have practical experience with performance testing tools such as Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar tools, along with knowledge of response time analysis, throughput, server performance monitoring, and bottleneck identification.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute load, stress, spike, and endurance testing scenarios.
• Create and maintain performance test scripts using Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar tools.
• Conduct performance testing for web applications, REST APIs, and backend services.
• Analyze response times, throughput, concurrent users, error rates, and transaction performance.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and coordinate with development and infrastructure teams to resolve issues.
• Perform workload modelling, test data preparation, and parameterization.
• Configure correlation, parameterization, and scripting enhancements as required.
• Monitor application and server performance during test execution.
• Analyze test results and prepare detailed performance test reports with findings and recommendations.
• Execute baseline, benchmark, and regression performance tests.
• Collaborate with developers, QA teams, business analysts, and DevOps teams to improve application performance.
• Maintain performance test scripts, test scenarios, and execution documentation.

Required Technical Skills

• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in performance testing or load testing.
• Strong working knowledge of Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, or equivalent performance testing tools.
• Experience testing web applications and REST APIs.
• Understanding of load testing concepts, including:
  • Load testing
  • Stress testing
  • Spike testing
  • Endurance / soak testing
  • Scalability and capacity testing
• Knowledge of performance metrics such as response time, throughput, concurrent users, latency, and error rate.
• Experience with scripting, parameterization, and correlation.
• Basic understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, web protocols, and client-server architecture.
• Knowledge of SQL and database performance analysis.
• Ability to analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and prepare performance reports.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or New Relic.
• Basic knowledge of Linux commands and server monitoring.
• Understanding of CPU, memory, network, and database resource utilization.
• Experience with CI/CD integration for performance testing.
• Basic knowledge of cloud-based performance testing environments.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Education

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with development, QA, and infrastructure teams.
• Ability to independently execute performance tests and communicate findings.
